UTM District Manifesto 2025 | NTCHISI DISTRICT

Ntchisi Rising: From Mountain Forests to Agro-Industrial Growth.”
“UTM will transform Ntchisi’s resources—land, forest, and people—into lasting prosperity through smart agriculture, mining, and green tourism.”
Dr. Dalitso Kabambe – UTM Presidential Candidate 2025

UTM Vision

UTM envisions a new chapter for Ntchisi—one where smart agriculture, green industry, eco-tourism, and digital innovation converge to create wealth for every household. We will elevate Ntchisi into a nature-powered, youth-driven agro-industrial district with smart Bomas, thriving villages, and visible infrastructure across all Traditional Authorities.

Core Vision Commitments:

  • Roll out 7,500 hectares of mega farms for rice, legumes, tea, and vegetables.
  • Expand coffee and tea production and processing in Kandeu and Sidza.
  • Formalize livestock and dairy cooperatives, linked to processing and vet care.
  • Extract and process graphite, copper, cement rock, and phosphate through safe, formalized mining and local value-addition.
  • Position Ntchisi Forest Reserve as a regional destination for eco-tourism and cultural pride.
  • Roll out Smart Boma and Smart Village infrastructure—solar, Wi-Fi, water, and SME zones.
  • Deploy MK500 Billion via the Ntchisi District Development Fund, unlocking 49,000+ jobs and SME growth.
  • Deploy MK500 Billion via the Ntchisi District Development Fund, unlocking 49,000+ jobs and SME growth.

Mega Farms & Agricultural Transformation
